Our Team

Farrah Jacquez, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Cincinnati. Her research focuses on community-partnered approaches to health equity. Using a community-based participatory research (CBPR) orientation to my work, she partners with community members to do research with real-world benefit.

Kathie Maynard, Ph.D. is Associate Dean of Innovations and Community Partnerships at University of Cincinnati’s College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services. Kathie’s passion is connecting public school students to post-secondary learning opportunities at UC.

Lisa Vaughn, Ph.D. is a professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center within the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine with a joint appointment in educational studies community-based action research at the University of Cincinnati College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. She is formally trained as a social psychologist.

Alicia Boards is a Doctoral Student, Education and Community Based Action Research at the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services of the University of Cincinnati. Alicia works directly with the students to teach and guide them through the research process.

Alice Deters is a Doctoral Student, Education and Community Based Action Research at the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services of the University of Cincinnati. Alice works directly with the students to teach and guide them through the research process. 

Jody Wells is a consultant in the fields of strategic planning, educational innovation, and community engagement. She graduated from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning of University of Cincinnati with a Master of Community Planning. Jody serves as a Project Manager for the Collective Shift program.
